Component sourcing & BOM

The right parts — identified, verified, no surprises.

We source against your bill of materials from suppliers we’ve used and vetted. Before any part goes on order, we run a risk check: long lead-times, supply constraints, lifecycle concerns. Alternatives are always raised with you, never slipped in quietly. Your BOM as you agreed it is the BOM that goes on the line.

Design & engineering support

A closer look at the design, before it’s built.

Most clients come to us with a finished design, and that suits us fine. Where the project needs it, we’ll do a DFM review — flagging anything that fights the assembly process before a single part is bought. We can also help with circuit design or PCB layout on boards that are still in development. We don’t put a fee-heavy front door on this. If design help makes the outcome better, we’ll do it.

Software & firmware

Embedded firmware and software, when a build needs it.

When a product needs firmware alongside the assembly — a microcontroller application, a peripheral driver stack, a hardware bring-up routine — we can write or complete it as part of the same project. The same applies to supporting desktop or server-side software where the hardware needs it. We’re honest about scope: we take on what we can do well.

Structural & 3D-printed parts

From a working board to a finished product.

We design and produce the structural parts that turn an assembled board into a shippable product: enclosures, brackets, mounting plates and connector cutouts. For prototype and pre-production quantities, we 3D-print the parts in-house — useful for validating fit and form before committing to injection-mould tooling. The same team that builds the board handles the housing, so the two are designed to fit from the start.

New-product introduction

Concept to volume — stage by stage.

A hardware team with a product concept can take the whole journey with us. Four stage-gated phases, each with defined tests and sign-off criteria, move a design from idea to mass production without changing partners at each step.

PD1

Concept analysis & functional prototype

We review the concept for technical and commercial viability. A functional prototype is built, put through initial functional and safety tests, and assessed against the specification.

PD2

Process prototype

The design is confirmed manufacturable at the target scale. A process prototype is built using production materials and methods. EMC, reliability and parts-quality reviews run at this stage.

PD3

Small-batch trial

A limited production run validates the process under real conditions. Yield, consistency and documentation are assessed. The gate criterion is a stable, repeatable process.

PD4

Mass production

Full-rate manufacturing against an approved process, locked BOM and signed-off test specification. Each batch runs the same QA pipeline as every other board we build.
