Faradine takes its name from the farad — the unit of electrical capacitance, the measure of how much charge a component can hold and deliver, reliably, every time. It honours Michael Faraday, whose rigour built the foundations of modern electronics. That's the promise in the name: the capacity to hold a standard, and hold our word.
